Pam Lewis - My Two Favourite Lenses.
I am currently using a Panasonic G9x2 with Panasonic/Leica lenses.
My two favourite lenses are the 12-60 mm Micro Four Thirds and
The 100-400 mm Micro Four Thirds lenses.
I have found that with the 12-60 mm lens I can use it in most situations including close-up and distance photography.
So I have found that the 12-60 is very versatile and not too heavy to carry around.
The 100-400 however, is in its way just as versatile and I found it to be invaluable during our Safari holidays in South Africa and in India.
Both of these lenses are my most used lenses for animal and flower photography. Both have image stabilisation along with the camera and therefore are very useful in most situations.
Photographs taken with both are shown below.

By Keith Walker: Had to convert to 'full-frame' equivalent to better understand and I get 24-120 and 200 - 800. That is some serious coverage, especially 800mm! Will certainly get you some nice wildlife, as we can see.
Love the Kingfisher! Well done!
By Pam: Thank you Keith
I found that the full frame R9 with DMR was getting too heavy to carry around so that is why I changed to Micro 4/3rds and it has made things easier
For wildlife on Safari the 100-400 proved to be invaluable. However my favourite lens is the 12-60 as it is an excellent all rounder
By Alan Humphries: I bought the G9 which came with the 12-60mm lens and have it really versatile, it is not heavy and produces excellent images as you have shown in your accompanying. It is without a doubt one of favourite lenses.
Happy photography Pam.
