Ken Davis - Stanton Park

19th June 2026
This week it's the webmaster's turn to show some photographs from our 50th Anniversary Weekend at Stanton Fitzwarren.
Many of us spent time walking around Stanton Park and the light was kind to us.
I used a Panasonic GX8 with a 12-60mm f2.8 Leica / Panasonic lens.
Like many other Fellowship members I love the versatility and performance of this lens, for me it captured the light really well.

In addition you will find a summary President's Report from Cled.

Photo comment By Keith Walker: Lovely images. Some interesting light as you allude. Hope the kids spotted a fish!
Photo comment By Caroline Lewis: Lovely pictures Ken, you really captured the magic of the woodland and lakes. We certainly were lucky with the weather.
Photo comment By Sally Tarlton: Lovely photos Ken I enjoyed walking round the lake The birdsong was incredible!
Photo comment By Ken Davis: Thanks Keith, the weather and time of year gave us all lots of opportunities to get some reasonable photographs. I can't say whether the kids saw any fish but at least none of them fell in! Ken
Photo comment By Ken Davis: Thanks Sally, it was indeed so refreshing to walk around this place, I had to use the mobile phone app 'Merlin' to identify the birds and there was a song thrush or two. Ken
Photo comment By Ken Davis: Thanks Caroline, we enjoyed this so much we did it twice! Ken
Photo comment By Don Morley: Lovely pictures and Jo and I so envy you Ken as we tried to walk as far as the Lake etc, but sadly were not able due to our increasing lack of mobility. and old age, But at least we now know what we missed thanks to your super pictures
Photo comment By Alan Humphries: Smashing images Ken, like you i love this lens, mine came as a kit coupled to the original Lumix G9.
Photo comment By Ken Davis: Thank you Don, as you say, old age can be very frustrating in stopping you doing what you want to, hey ho!
Photo comment By Ken Davis: Many thanks Alan, regarding the camera / lens combination, I find the GX8 and the 12-60 are ergonomically sound and that encourages me to use them. Ken
